Including but not limited to Safety Committee meetings, Accident Investigations, and TPM and Kaizen events. Conduct assessments of current processes in order to identify or target problem areas. Including development of JSA’s. Develop and implement process improvements and conduct necessary training to affected employees. Keep affected employees abreast of OSHA and EPA requirements and changes. Ability to gather statistical information and relate this information to Plant Management and others by use of reports or presentations. Work with engineers or outside vendors as needed during installation of new equipment so that safety and environmental features and procedures are in place and understood. Document improvements using lean tools such as Waste Elimination Improvement forms (WEI’s). Complete required audits and reports in regards to safety and environmental compliance working directly with company Safety and Environmental Engineers as required. Conduct follow up studies to ensure that new process improvements are working and being followed. Coordinate management and shipments of hazardous materials. Coordinate projects including TPM and Kaizen events
