We are looking for a motivated and compassionate nurse to join our team, providing a wide range of nursing services to our practice population. You will work both independently and collaboratively with GPs and the wider clinical team, helping patients stay healthy and well.
Main duties of the job
As part of our nursing team, you will deliver a variety of essential clinical services, including:
Immunisations (including Baby Immunisations) Cervical screening (smears) Contraception advice and pill checks Spirometry testing Diabetes management (Warwick Diploma or similar desirable) Treatment room duties Chronic disease management with a particular focus on respiratory care Working within established practice protocols and clinical guidelines
We especially welcome applicants with respiratory experience or a qualification in Asthma/COPD management, though training can be supported for the right candidate.

Your Role in Patient Care
In this role, you will:
Provide direct nursing care to patients within your professional competence, without the need for referral from another senior nurse or doctor. Carry out health assessments and screening in line with agreed protocols. Offer advice and support on general health and minor ailments, referring to GPs where appropriate. Deliver nursing treatments independently or alongside GPs. Maintain accurate and efficient clinical records to support patient safety and continuity of care. Contribute to the development of practice procedures and service improvements.

Additional training will be provided for new responsibilities. Opportunities to develop respiratory expertise or further chronic disease specialisms. Work within the professional standards of the NMC Code of Conduct.
Person Specification
Experience Essential
Be a Registered Nurse with the NMC Have experience in primary care or community nursing Be confident working independently and within a multidisciplinary team Be passionate about providing high-quality patient care
Desirable
Ideally have experience or interest in respiratory disease management (Asthma/COPD)
