Job Description PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES Read and interpret complex engineering drawings, blueprints, and CAD models, rigorously applying GD&T principles to determine part compliance. Perform source inspections at facilities Perform First Article Inspections (FAI), in-process inspections, and final product evaluations. Perform detailed visual inspection Document defects and non-conformances accurately in the ERP/QMS system Prepare inspection reports and maintain files of inspection documents Understand basic weld inspection techniques, weld symbols and common welding defects. Review inspection records received for compliance Maintain inspection and measuring equipment Perform other work-related tasks as assigned Comply with all NOV Company and HSE policies and procedures. Ensure proper use of measuring tools and equipment Support continuous improvement initiatives Maintain accurate inspection records and reports Communicate with production, engineering. FACILITY/GROUP SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES Pass the J2 Color and Acuity eye test. As stated above within the primary responsibilities section Monitors and records relevant information during testing of equipment Performs mechanical inspections on components as received from the suppliers using either traditional and/or electronic tools. Perform in-process inspections and record measurements and other relevant information (traceability) concerning capital equipment of completed assemblies.
