Your “Take Off” will be successful by doing the following with excellence: Your “Take Off” will be successful by doing the following with excellence: Respond to overt and covert alarms at airport security checkpoints and throughout the terminals. Investigate improper or unlawful acts, such as public disturbance, security breach, or assault. Complete and maintain federal, state, local offense and informational reports, files, and records. Conduct fact-finding and/or informational interviews. Exercise authority to arrest in accordance with TSR: 49 CFR Part 1542 and the laws of the State of Ohio and City of Columbus. Patrol terminal and airport property, recognizing/responding to potential security breaches. Assist in the search for suspicious items/bombs in the event of threat. Take vehicle accident reports on Airport property and perform traffic control responsibilities. Provide special security for VIPs. Respond to activated fire, burglary, or other alarms. Perform related work as required. Pay range for this position is $38.78 p/h - $52.08 p/h. The offered salary is evaluated using internal equity, job knowledge, skills, experience, and other key factors.
