We are looking for a dedicated Harvest Logistics Planner to join our Carolina-Virginia Region of the Southern Timberlands business. Based in New Bern, NC, you will report to the Region Transportation Manager and play a crucial role in identifying and implementing the most cost-effective methods to transport logs. Find out more about Weyerhaeuser at www.weyerhaeuser.com and learn our Story here: https://youtu.be/c2R_lQ7wo0A Key Functions: Schedule the transport of raw materials via contract haulers Data tracking and retention Maintain constant vigilance of the logger's needs, drivers' whereabouts, and the availability of trucks and truck drivers, which is essential to make the most efficient use of available trucks Maintain daily communication with contract truck managers, drivers, wood flow managers, harvest managers, and marketing representatives Work in a fast-paced environment to adjust schedules on the fly in order to meet system changes Utilization of logistics computer software/model daily
