Main duties of the job As a Wellbeing and Activities Assistant, you will support the Wellbeing Coordinator by providing a diverse range of activities aimed at engaging and stimulating residents' physical, cognitive, and social well-being. Your responsibilities will include maintaining a safe environment and contributing to the home's positive and professional image. You will report any changes in residents conditions to the relevant staff and prepare supplies for upcoming activities. You will also support establishing community links to encourage broader community access and intergenerational activities. The ideal candidate will possess effective communication skills, understand the role of interaction in well-being, have a positive attitude towards older people, and have experience working in a residential nursing Dementia setting. A valid driving license and minibus driving ability are required.

ABOUT THE ROLE
As Wellbeing and Activities Assistant, your focus will be to support the Wellbeing Coordinator in providing a wide range of activities to engage and stimulate the resident's physical, cognitive, and social well-being.
Other responsibilitieswillinclude:
Maintaininga safe living and working environment,contributing to the positive and professional image of thehome. Reportingany changes in residents physical oremotional condition to the Wellbeing and Activity Coordinator, Home Manager, and the care staff. Supporting with ordering and preparing supplies for upcoming activities as directed. Supporting establishing links with the local community (e.g., schools, spiritual groups, museums/libraries) to encourage access to the wider community and promote intergenerational activity.

Have a valid, clean driving license and be able to drive a minibus Have effective communication skills, verbal andwritten. Have previously worked with older people in a residential nursing Dementia setting.

Qualifications Essential
The ideal candidate must have a valid, clean driving license and be able to drive a minibus. Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, are crucial. Candidates should demonstrate an understanding of how interaction influences general well-being and possess a positive attitude towards older adults, along with a commitment to providing engaging, high-quality activities and social events. Experience working with older individuals in a residential nursing Dementia setting is also required.
