Job Summary: In this role, you will support the administration of the survey work request program. You will assist drone pilots with inspecting equipment and completing pre and post flight checklists. You will calibrate survey instruments, review computations, prepare drawings, and provide technical support. Your work will ensure the accurate layout of construction work, data accuracy, and efficiency of survey activities. #LI-BH1 Major Responsibilities: Provide Construction Survey support to the PC and Project Survey Manager. Support the survey team’s implementation of the project safety, quality, and environmental programs. Assist the PC with the accurate layout of construction work, recordation of field data according to job specifications and appropriate methods of performing survey activities. Perform duties of a Rod Person and/or Instrument Person on a direct-hire survey crew; operates the survey instrument(s), rod, staff, GNSS rover, and other survey implements as required in accordance with Bechtel survey procedures. Perform other duties as required in support of construction layout, laser scanning or other survey activities, including substituting for the PC during his/her absence. Assures that all survey equipment is in good working order and that instruments are properly transported. Assist the PC in providing support to both Field Engineering and Field Supervision. Assist the PC in developing and maintaining survey data. Performs Calibration Baseline checks of survey instruments. Supports the administration of the survey work request program. Assist the PC in providing civil project completion documentation including "As-Built" records. Assist in performing verifications of subcontract survey work.
