Specialist – Fund Onboarding Technology & Data Solutions Contract title: Specialist, Fund/Client Accounting II We are currently seeking a technically curious and analytically minded professional to join our Client Activation (Fund Accounting) Team in Wroclaw as an Associate – Fund Onboarding Technology & Data Solutions. This is not a traditional fund accounting role. The position sits within a project-based onboarding and migration environment focused on transitioning mutual fund clients from both external administrators and internal legacy platforms onto strategic BNY systems. The role combines operational exposure with a strong focus on technology, automation, data transformation, and technical problem-solving. We are looking for someone who enjoys working with data, building solutions, improving processes, automating workflows, and supporting development of onboarding and reconciliation capabilities for large-scale migration projects. This role offers excellent exposure to onboarding operations, technology-driven transformation initiatives, and development of operational tools and solutions supporting future platform evolution. In this role, you’ll make an impact in the following ways:
• Supporting onboarding and migration projects for mutual fund clients, • Assisting with development and enhancement of reconciliation and migration support solutions, • Working with large operational and financial data sets across multiple systems and platforms, • Performing SQL-based analysis, data validation, troubleshooting, and issue investigation activities, • Supporting data mapping, reconciliation, and migration processes between source and target platforms, • Assisting with automation and process improvement initiatives aimed at reducing manual operational activities, • Collaborating closely with Operations, Technology, Fund Accounting, Transfer Agency, Custody, and Client Service teams, • Supporting testing, implementation, and enhancement activities for onboarding and migration solutions, • Identifying opportunities for operational improvements and automation, • Helping build scalable onboarding and operational support capabilities within a growing team. To be successful in this role, we’re seeking the following:
• 2+ years of experience in operational, analytical, technical support, or project-based roles, preferably involving data analysis, automation, or process improvement, • Strong analytical and technical mindset, • Interest in automation, technology, and operational problem-solving, • Experience with SQL, Excel, Alteryx, or similar analytical/automation tools would be an advantage, • Exposure to data analysis, reporting, or process improvement activities, • Strong attention to detail and investigative skills, • Ability to work with large and complex data sets, • Good organizational and communication skills, • Ability to work effectively in a project-driven environment, • Very good English communication skills, • Ownership mentality and willingness to learn. Preferred skills include:
• Exposure to Python, VBA, Power BI, or other automation/reporting tools, • Interest in coding, scripting, or technical solution development, • Experience within financial services, operations, onboarding, or migration environments, • Understanding of databases, data mapping, or reconciliation concepts, • Interest in technology-driven operational transformation initiatives.
