Senior Vice President – Depositary Client Management Location: Luxembourg Corporate Title: Senior Vice President Overview BNY is seeking a Senior Vice President to join its Client Management Team in Luxembourg. This role is responsible for supporting the end-to-end client lifecycle across onboarding, governance, implementation, service oversight, and ongoing relationship management. The successful candidate will work closely with internal partners and external clients to help deliver a controlled, high-quality client experience across the depositary and funds servicing environment. Key responsibilities
• Lead and coordinate activities related to client acceptance governance • Manage and support Depositary Initial Assessments (DIA), including initial look-through and ownership verification assessments • Provide TD operational approval into governance forums including the Business Acceptance Committee and Deal Council • Coordinate FTE assessment / requests and EMEA pricing requests as required • Support and oversee client onboarding and implementation activities • Coordinate Service Level Document (SLD) implementation and review relevant templates, including those relating to ManCo / AIFM delegates • Manage the collection and review of full legal documentation and fund information • Coordinate bank account access and systems access setup with relevant stakeholders • Support fund events management, including launches, liquidations, migrations, and mergers • Monitor counterparty appointments, including prime brokers and other third parties • Prepare and contribute to board reporting and participate in board meetings where required • Develop and maintain strong client relationships through service review reporting, meeting participation, Voice of the Client (VOC) processes, and Annual Touch Point meetings • Support external due diligence from ManCos / AIFMs, as well as RFPs and beauty parades • Oversee billing set-up and monitoring • Maintain supporting materials such as the Prospectus Library • Contribute to ongoing governance and business oversight through the Monthly Business Council
Required qualifications
• Significant experience in client management, client onboarding, asset servicing, funds, depositary, custody, or related financial services environment • Strong understanding of onboarding governance, documentation, and implementation processes • Experience working with governance forums, approvals, and stakeholder coordination • Ability to manage client-facing interactions and support service review processes • Experience in reporting, issue management, and cross-functional coordination • Strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills • Strong knowledge of the Luxembourg funds environment and related client / fund servicing practices
Preferred qualifications
• Sound experience in Luxembourg funds servicing, depositary, or custody oversight • Exposure to ManCos / AIFMs, board reporting, and due diligence processes • Experience supporting RFPs, onboarding programs, and client governance forums • Familiarity with billing controls, fund documentation, and service implementation frameworks What will help you succeed
