Job summary
The Education Planning and Work Experience Officer will be responsible for managing the collection and analysis of information regarding the Trust's workforce education needs.
They will manage the Trust's work experience programme, building strong relationships with local schools and colleges across Essex to maximise work experience and T level placement opportunities, ensuring placements are fit for purpose and students are inducted into the work place.
The post holder will work collaboratively with EPUTs Care Unit Leaders, HRBPs, Workforce Planning and Head of learning and Development to undertake comprehensive training needs analyses, translating these into structured educational plans that are responsive to evolving service demands. A key aspect of the role is fostering a culture of lifelong learning, encouraging reflective practice, and supporting staff to maximise their potential. The post holder will champion innovation in education, exploring new approaches and technologies to enhance learner engagement and impact.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will be responsible for setting up plans for the collection and management of data required for creating the Trust's education plans, and adherence to data collection deadlines.
They will be responsible for the planning and administration involved in all work experience placements including T level programmes, liaising with internal and external colleagues to deliver the programme. This includes being responsible for the introduction and maintenance of the work experience platform, including training for Care Units and colleagues on how to place vacancies.
The post holder will assist with the planning, coordination, and delivery of learning and development projects, ensuring activities are delivered on time and meet required quality standards. When required the postholder will attend and / or deliver education planning, appraisal and supervision training and work experience training or information events (occasionally at weekends and in the evenings).
The post holder will manage on a day to day basis the collection and analysis of information regarding the organisation's education needs, using data from appraisals to support the TNA process. Therefore an understanding ofeducation planning systems within the Trust and wider NHS is essential.
