Job summary
We are recruiting a substantive Consultant Cellular Pathologistatthe Royal Sussex County Hospital.
You will work within supportive and experienced subspecialtyteamsinGynecologicalandGastrointestinal Pathologytohelp deliver highquality,timelydiagnostics.
You will also contribute to leadership,training,research,and ourregional Sussex network collaboration.
Main duties of the job
The clinical duties of the post include the following:
Independent reporting of diagnostic cellular pathology case with a focus on Gynaecological and Gastrointestinal Pathology.
Participation in relevant Multidisciplinary Team (MDT) meetings and provision oftimelyclinicopathological advice.
Clinical supervision of trainees and contribution to undergraduate and postgraduate education (including BSMS).
Participation in clinical governance, audit, EQA, quality improvement, servicedevelopmentand leadership.
Adherence to Trust policies including information governance, health and safety, safeguarding and equality,diversityand inclusion.

Experience/Qualifications Essential
Basic medical degree FRCPath Part 2 or its recognised equivalent Full and specialist registration (with a licence to practise) with the GMC or be eligible for registration within six months of the interview. o If you trained in the UK, you must also have a Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT) in Specialty or be within six months of receiving it by the interview date. o If you trained outside the UK, you must provide evidence that your qualifications are equivalent to the UK CCT.
