ABOUT THE ROLE Your focus as a Senior Care Assistant will be to support and work alongside the Care team to deliver high standards of personal care, providing a safe, caring, innovative, open, supportive, and inclusive environment for residents, visitors and staff. Other responsibilities will include: Monitoring the wellbeing of each resident, being aware of any change impacting on care and care plans, ensuring that new needs are met, and written records are amended to reflect any variation.
Main duties of the job The role involves supporting and collaborating with the Care team to ensure high standards of personal care while providing a safe and inclusive environment for residents, visitors, and staff. Key responsibilities include monitoring residents' wellbeing, participating in person-centred care planning, assisting with medication requirements, supervising staff, and serving as a point of contact for residents and their families. Successful candidates should embody values of care, support, honesty, respect, and accountability. A minimum of NVQ 3 in care and two years of relevant experience are required. The role demands effective communication skills, a positive attitude, and flexibility in responsibilities. A DBS check is necessary.

Monitoringthe wellbeing of each resident, being aware of any changeimpactingon care and care plans, ensuring that new needs aremet,and written records are amended to reflect any variation. Beinginvolved in the person-centred care planning process, by implementing,monitoring,and undertaking monthly evaluations. Supporting residents with their medication requirements. Undertaking staff supervisions and supporting staff with their development where required. Actingas a key point for contact with residents, theirrelativesand visitors, as well as health and social care professionals involved in their wellbeing, ensuring that any reasonable requests are actedupon,and concerns or complaints are escalated.

Our ideal candidatemust:
Have an NVQ 3 or equivalent in care for care homes. Have 2 years experience working in similar care environment. Have the ability tocommunicate effectively both verbally and in writing. Have a positive attitude to bothsupporting and nurturing residents and staff. Beresponsive and flexible to cover a range of responsibilities.
