About this role
We are looking for a Head of Payments who will own and scale the company’s global payments function — from strategy and infrastructure to partnerships, optimization, and financial performance.
This role is ideal for someone with deep expertise in payment systems, strong commercial and operational thinking, and experience managing complex, international payment flows.
Responsibilities:Payment Strategy & OwnershipDefine and own GoMining’s global payment strategy.Build a scalable payments infrastructure across multiple markets and payment methods.Optimize the balance between conversion, cost, risk, and user experience.Own the roadmap for payment-related products and improvements.Payment Providers & PartnershipsSource, negotiate, and manage relationships with PSPs, acquirers, banks, crypto processors, and alternative payment providers.Evaluate and launch new payment methods across regions.Manage commercial terms, pricing, SLAs, reserves, settlement cycles, and provider performance.Build redundancy and fallback strategies across payment providers.Operations & PerformanceMonitor and improve key payment metrics:Approval rateDecline rateChargebacksPayment conversionProcessing costsAnalyze payment funnel performance and identify opportunities for optimization.Ensure smooth operational processes for settlements, reconciliations, refunds, and disputes.Crypto & Digital Asset PaymentsOwn crypto payment flows and integrations.Work with on-chain and off-chain payment systems, digital assets, and crypto processors.Ensure seamless interaction between fiat and crypto payment infrastructure.Compliance & RiskPartner with legal and compliance teams on KYC, AML, PCI DSS, fraud prevention, and regulatory requirements.Build payment processes that are secure, compliant, and scalable across jurisdictions.Cross-Functional LeadershipWork closely with Product, Finance, Analytics, and Engineering teams.Lead internal payment initiatives and coordinate cross-functional execution.Potentially build and manage a payments team over time.Requirements
6+ years of experience in payments, fintech, or financial services.Strong experience with payment systems, PSPs, acquiring, card payments, and alternative payment methods.Experience working with international payment flows and multiple markets.Experience negotiating and managing payment providers and commercial terms.Strong understanding of payment metrics, economics, and optimization.Experience with payment operations, reconciliation, settlements, and disputes.Strong analytical and strategic thinking.English B2/C1.Benefits
