Responsible for the operational performance of their assigned area to continually meet production, preventative maintenance, and regulatory compliance targets while on shift.
Tasks & Responsibilities
• Know, understand, and follow all Safety and Environmental policies, procedures and requirements. • Operate and certify in Raw Material Handling Equipment • Perform Lock out/ Tag out and issues safety permits • Create and maintain a culture of continuous improvement. • Assist Shift Lead and Safety department regarding safety and emergency measures and realization of safety and emergency plans. • Operate and maintain a clean work area • Retrieve samples as needed • Participate in mandatory on-site and off-site training courses that include safety, regulatory requirements, handling of hazardous and volatile materials, and equipment repair and maintenance • Troubleshooting equipment • Perform incidental/preventative maintenance in operating areas • Maintain compliance in mandatory training as per company specs • Perform other duties assigned as needed
Qualifications
• Advanced knowledge of operational and industrial principles • 3 years of experience in production, maintenance, engineering and/or process improvement roles including leading teams of people • Mechanical aptitude • Minimum of 3 years' operating heavy equipment (Cranes, Excavators, Skidsteer, Dozers, Manlifts, etc.) • Working knowledge in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, & PowerPoint) • Must be able to walk long distances and stand and work for more than 2 hours in though environmental conditions (high temperature, high humidity, noise & dust) and withstand heights of up to 500 feet. • Must have the ability to effectively communicate in English, verbally and in writing. Skills will be used to produce quality reports and thorough instructions and directions. • Must have reliable transportation to and from work • Must have or be able to obtain a TWIC-card
