Key Responsibilities Artistic and Educational Leadership: Design and deliver advanced-level wheel throwing classes that inspire and challenge students Develop comprehensive, innovative curricula for classes and workshops across skill levels Curate engaging project-based learning experiences that enhance student creativity and technical skills Instructor Management and Development: Strategically recruit, professionally train, and effectively supervise a team of freelance instructors Establish and maintain high-quality teaching standards and pedagogical best practices Provide ongoing mentorship and professional development opportunities for teaching staff Required Qualifications Professional Profile: Distinctive artistic portfolio showcasing a unique ceramic style and creative vision Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in ceramics or related artistic disciplines Technical Expertise: Advanced wheel throwing capabilities, demonstrating precision across a wide range of object sizes (200g to 15kg) Comprehensive mastery of ceramics methods, materials, glaze formulation, and kiln operations Proven ability to teach and mentor students across all skill levels, from novice to advanced practitioners Leadership and Management: Documented experience managing ceramic studio operations and effectively supervising staff and instructors Demonstrated professional teaching background in community arts or studio environments Exceptional self-management skills with ability to work independently and proactively Interpersonal and Professional Attributes: Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills Proven ability to engage and inspire diverse groups across age ranges Deep commitment to principles of diversity, equity, inclusion, and accessibility High level of professionalism and alignment with collaborative organizational values Operational Flexibility: Adaptable schedule, including availability for evening it is an international studio with vibrant energy and community focused.
