Job SummaryThis is a NAF position with the 17th Force Support Squadron, located at Outdoor Recreation, within the Community Services Flight on Goodfellow AFB, San Angelo, Texas. This position is considered Flexible. The position is not guaranteed any hours, but has the potential to work up to 40 hours per week. You may be required to work some nights, weekends and holidays. As a flexible employee, you are not eligible for leave or benefits.

You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if the position allows for qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Qualifying Experience: Practical knowledge of recreational activities rules and procedures and/or practical knowledge of recreation activities is desirable but not required. Ability to safeguard and handle cash and skill in the use and maintenance of various recreational equipment and facilities are desirable; however, no experience is required. Must be able to satisfactorily complete a Tier-1 background investigation.
Major DutiesPerforms and/or assists other recreation assistants or specialists in the operation and maintenance of indoor and outdoor recreation facilities. Arranges for issue of equipment or tools, charging them out to participants, and checking them for condition upon their return Takes inventory of authorized recreation supplies and equipment; and helps with group activities which require more than one staff member, performing specifically assigned tasks. Responsible for operating the cash register, collecting money, making change, and issuing receipts.
