QualificationsYour resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-03 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Implementing pre-planned educational, developmental, or recreational activities that support the social, physical, and cognitive growth of children or youth in group settings. Maintaining a clean, safe, and positive environment that encourages active participation and ensures the physical safety of children. Assisting with the daily supervision of children and youth to ensure compliance with established safety, health, and sanitation guidelines. Major DutiesYou will serve as Child Development Program Educational Technician at the Personal Services Division, Child and Youth Programs Branch, Marine Corps Community Services (MCCS), MCAGCC, in Twentynine Palms, CA.You will provide appropriate specialized developmental care and instruction for children and youth in a Department of Defense (DoD) Children and Youth Program.You will maintain control and account for the whereabouts and safety of children and youth ranging in age from 6 weeks to 18 years.You will implement activities and special events that meet the physical, social, emotional, and cognitive needs of children and youth.You will establish a program environment that sustains participant interest and promotes positive interactions with other children, youth, and adults.You will supervise participants during daily schedule of indoor and outdoor activities and on field trips, outings, and special events.You will interact professionally with staff members, parents, and local installation command personnel.You will observe program participants for signs that may indicate illness, abuse, or neglect and report as directed.You will complete training requirements using approved Office of Secretary Of Defense (OSD) and Service materials to include designated training modules.You will participate in program evaluation using designated instruments such as programmatic rating scales, risk assessment tools (as required), self-inspection materials, and national accreditation tools.
