Job SummaryThis position is located in the Space Portfolio Division (SPD), Facilities Services Directorate (FSD), Washington Headquarters Services (WHS). The incumbent of this position provides direct staff assistance to the Chief, Pentagon Workspace Solution Branch (PWSB). The mission of SPD is to provide operational support to specified DoD activities, and tenants in DoD- in the National Capital Region (NRC).

QualificationsIn order to qualify for this position, you must meet the requirements described below. You may qualify at the GS 11 level, if you fulfill the following qualification requirement: One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-09 grade level in the Federal service (experience may have been gained in the private sector) that demonstrates your ability in: Assisted or conducted with supervision the programming, planning, designing, evaluating, coordinating, advising, administering, or performing research for the creation, construction, alteration, rehabilitation, or restoration of building and facilities; providing input to policies, procedures, and operating instructions for the effective and efficient utilization of space; or knowledge of work methods of various building trades and modern construction management procedures. -OR- Education: Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.M., if related. You may qualify at the GS 12 level, if you fulfill the following qualification requirement: One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 grade level in the Federal service (experience may have been gained in the private sector) that demonstrates your ability in: Responsible for overall programming, planning, designing, evaluating, coordinating, advising, administering, or performing research for the creation, construction, alteration, rehabilitation, or restoration of building and facilities; provided technical comments on policies, procedures, and operating instructions for the effective and efficient utilization of space; or knowledge of work methods of various building trades and modern construction management procedures. You may qualify at the GS 13 level, if you fulfill the following qualification requirement: One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 grade level in the Federal service (experience may have been gained in the private sector) that demonstrates your ability in: Lead teams or was independently responsible for programming, planning, designing, evaluating, coordinating, advising, administering, or performing research for the creation, construction, alteration, rehabilitation, or restoration of building and facilities; implementing specific policies, procedures, and operating instructions for the effective and efficient utilization of space; knowledge of work methods of various building trades and modern construction management procedures. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
