Job SummaryThis is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Certain Personnel of the DoD Workforce to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service. About the Position: Serve as Supervisory Clinical Social Worker; responsible for development and maintenance of professional standards of service, initiating and effecting changes in methods that will promote efficient practice and coordination of social work services.

Basic Requirement for Supervisory Social Worker (Family Advocacy): Degree: Master's degree (or higher degree) in social work from a school accredited by the Council on Social Work Education. Licensure: A current, active, valid, unrestricted clinical license to practice Social Work independently, offered by a U.S. State, District of Columbia, commonwealth, territory or jurisdiction. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes conducting comprehensive clinical interviews such as interviewing victims, offenders, children, and/or family members regarding allegations of domestic violence, child abuse or neglect; providing crisis intervention services and appropriate triage to assist in the protection and safety of victims and Families; providing administrative or technical oversight to comply with policy and directives. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12).
Major DutiesSupervise a team of clinical providers and administrative staff, providing oversight and training of the Family Advocacy Program.Develop treatment plans for family advocacy patients based on identified problems, psychosocial factors and/or treatment capabilities.Provide therapeutic treatment to victims, offenders and family members of those involved in domestic violence or child abuse and neglect.Perform administrative/supervisory duties related to clinic function and programmatic oversight
