Additional information about transcripts is in this document. Degree: Master's degree (or higher degree) in social work from a school accredited by the Council on Social Work Education. (NOTE: You must attach copy of your transcripts)In addition to meeting the basic requirement above, to qualify for this position you must also meet the qualification requirements listed below: Licensure: A current, active, valid, unrestricted clinical license to practice Social Work independently, offered by a U.S. State, District of Columbia, commonwealth, territory or jurisdiction. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes conducting psychosocial evaluations; delivering individual and group therapy, and leading clinical team operations. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12). Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. Major DutiesSupervise the work of professional and paraprofessional military and civilian social workers and social work assistants to include students and credentialed volunteers.Provide employees with guidance on 'work requirements and procedures.Resolve informal complaints of employees; referring group grievances and more serious unresolved complaints to Chief, SWS.Apply an advanced level of social work skill and knowledge and professional judgment in the assessment, treatment and evaluation of unusually complex cases.Prepare reports to include ongoing budget execution, annual reports and directs the preparation purchase requests and contracts and requests for and authorization of staff training.Assign work equitably to employees and ensures that work output is of acceptable quality and quantity.Evaluate work of department staff for quality and effectiveness in meeting objectives, goals and time tablesProvide guidance and assistance to subordinate staff members in resolution of complex cases.
