Job SummaryAbout the Position: This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Domestic Defense Industrial Base (DIB) & Major Range and Test Facilities Base (MRTFB) in DoD. This position is located within Naval Hospital Pensacola Florida, DIR of Mental Health. Incumbent will be required to work M-F, 0700-1530, may be required to work uncommon duty hours; Certain incentives MAY be authorized for highly qualified candidates. QualificationsWho May Apply: US Citizens In order to qualify, you must meet the education and experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Additional information about transcripts is in this document. Degree: Doctoral Degree (Ph.D. or equivalent) directly related to full professional work in clinical psychology. Must provide transcripts. In addition to meeting the basic requirement above, to qualify for this position you must also meet the qualification requirements listed below: Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 grade level in the Federal Service which includes 1) Conducting behavioral health assessments; 2) providing individual and group treatment; 3) and working as part of a multidisciplinary team. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12). License requirement: A current, active, valid, unrestricted clinical license to practice Psychology independently, offered by a U.S State, District of Columbia, commonwealth, territory or jurisdiction. Major DutiesApply biopsychosocial evaluations to propose mental health interventions.Provide evidence-based treatment, including behavioral, cognitive, and motivational approaches.Provide primary care providers and staff regular and concise feedback on the status of referred patients, to include recommendations for team-based care.Implement psychoeducational classes to target high frequency diagnoses found in the primary care clinic.Document information in the electronic health record during patient encounters.
