QualificationsYour resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the ND-03 (GS-09/11) Equivalent grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector as a Professional Engineer or Scientist. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Served as a Foreign Military Sales (FMS) Engineering Team Lead for complex, state-of-the-art electronic systems like the SQQ-89. In this technical capacity, I directed the integration of advanced capability build (ACB) software and hardware baselines, while leading cross-disciplinary teams to resolve critical engineering issues across plant, shipyard, and at-sea environments. Furthermore, I managed full-lifecycle systems engineering-encompassing performance verification, cybersecurity compliance, and end-to-end system testing. Major DutiesYou will serve as the Foreign Military Sales (FMS) Engineering Team Lead (ETL) for SQQ-89 projects.You will actively participate in the development of the latest technology insertion hardware baseline and the associated advanced capability build (ACB) software, which contains the latest functionality for integrationYou will provide technical leadership to a diverse team in design, acquisition, and certification of tech insertion hardware and ACB software, managing all phases from requirements to final ship delivery and mission integration.You will ensure technical coordination across Surface Ship SONAR projects from multiple Program Offices, including commonality efforts between the cruiser and destroyer classes.You will work across NUWC departments, Code 15 divisions, and product lines to provide support to all VA and CLB Sensors and acoustic systems to ensure 'end to end' system performance.You will lead cross-disciplinary and cross-organization teams to resolve engineering issues in plant, shipyard, or at sea, ensuring thorough analysis and solutions to maintain system performance through ship delivery.You will interact directly with the Fleet, shipyards, Program Offices, Technical Warrant Holders, and development teams across government, industry, and academia throughout the development and fielding cycle.You will ensure the verification and delivery of all technical products, including integrated logistic support (ILS), monitoring System Qualification Tests (SQT), and verifying cybersecurity compliance.You will present project status and engineering analysis briefings to high-level personnel from various Program Offices, NUWC leadership, and contractor organizations.You will serve as a recognized authority and expert consultant on Surface Ship Sonar Systems, DoD acquisition, systems engineering, risk management, and program management.You will mentor junior personnel to ensure consistency of core NUWC technical competencies related to surface ship sonar acquisition.You will Apply systems engineering principles to support research, design or development of Undersea Warfare Systems.
