About this role

What you’ll be doing

We're looking for a detail-oriented and analytical Finance Manager to join our organisation for a fixed term contract. In this role, you will oversee and lead a high-performing accounting team and maintain hands-on involvement in key accounting functions. The ideal candidate will combine strong technical expertise with decisive leadership to optimise financial performance and ensure organisational compliance.

You'll

Oversee month-end and year-end close processes across all entities, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of team deliverablesReview general ledger reconciliations and analyze revenue and costing flux each month to identify discrepancies and variancesPerform hands-on journal entry processing and take responsibility for key accounting focus areasSupervise and mentor finance team members, providing guidance on technical accounting matters and professional developmentMaintain clean, reconciled ledgers and ensure the integrity of all financial dataAnalyse financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for cost control and process improvement. Support the integration of AI technology to improve team workflows and drive process efficiencies.Ensure compliance with accounting standards, regulatory requirements, and internal control policiesCoordinate with external auditors and manage audit processes What we’re looking for

CA or CPA qualified; bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or commerce.Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in finance, accounting, or financial management rolesProven experience managing and supervising finance teamsAdvanced proficiency in accounting software and financial systemsStrong skills in Microsoft Excel, including data analysis and financial modelingStrong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting standards, and compliance requirementsExcellent organizational and time management skills with ability to manage multiple prioritiesStrong written and verbal communication skills with ability to present financial informationExperience with Australian accounting regulations and financial reporting requirementsProven track record of implementing process improvements and driving operational efficiencyWe know not everyone will meet every requirement, and that’s okay.
