Get to Know the Team
The Grab Driver Acquisition and Onboarding Department is responsible for onboarding and recruiting new driver and rider-partners in the platform. This team designs, creates and owns the processes to ensure smooth driver/ rider application experience in the driver onboarding journey and ensure that new riders are setup for success. This team is also responsible for attracting and recruiting new drivers to join Grab and MoveIt via leveraging various channels, campaigns, and avenues to reach potential target audience to join the growing rider base of Grab and MoveIt. You will get a chance to work directly with progressive thinkers with various teams -- operations, marketplace, marketing departments, training, safety, and driver communities to help shape the driver's early lifecycle journey.
Get to Know the Role
The Finance Specialist is a critical role to support Driver Acquisition, Onboarding and GPC team in managing procurement processes and budget monitoring. The role needs someone who is highly organized and responsible; has a good working attitude and is willing to go the extra mile. They must also demonstrate good skill with numbers, data, critical thinking, and problem solving. This role involves coordinating with vendors, raising purchase requisitions, processing invoices, and monitoring expenses against budgets.
The Critical Tasks You Will Perform
Budget Management and Monitoring: Monitor expenses against the budget, provide regular financial reports in a timely manner,, and suggest cost-saving strategies.Ensure optimized spending of departmental budget allocations.Budget Database Maintenance: Manage and update the budget database to track and enforce reporting requirements in collaboration with the Country Operations team.Procurement Management: Handle all procurement functions, including vendor coordination, raising purchase requisition requests, and processing invoices for payment.Vendor Coordination: Establish and maintain relationships with vendors, negotiate and reviewcontracts and prices, and ensure timely delivery of products or services.Expense Processing and Monitoring: Ensure expenses are properly processed and documented in a timely manner. Track expenses, prepare and submit expense reports, and ensure all expenses align with company policies and budget.Purchase Requests and Orders: Create Purchase Requests and Purchase Orders for Country Operations as per business needs.Invoice Processing: Review and verify invoices, prepare payments for approval, and resolve any invoice discrepancies or issues.Inter-Team Liaison: Coordinate with other teams, vendors, stakeholders for activities impacting the team's budget and spending What Essential Skills You Will Need
Must have a Bachelor's degree in finance, business, accounting, mathematics, or similarPractical experience with spreadsheets (such as MS Excel and Google Sheets)Proven experience in procurement, budget monitoring, administrative support, or a similar role.Strong organizational and multitasking skills.Excellent communication and negotiation skills.Knowledge of procurement software and financial systems is a plus.Must be knowledgeable about transport, cars and the automotive industryExcellent written and verbal communication skills. Fluent in speaking, writing in both Filipino and English languageAttention to detail and accuracy. Problem analysis and problem-solving skills.Excellent time management skills.
