About this role
We're looking for a Senior Software Engineer in Test to join our dynamic team in Bangalore, India. You will help design, implement, and v3_vb automated testing frameworks that ensure our applications are reliable, stable, and improving. You'll collaborate with developers and product teams while mentoring other engineers in adopting best practices in test automation across backend, fullstack, and mobile domains. Design and implement comprehensive automated testing frameworks and scripts that validate end-to-end performance and functionality for backend services, frontend applications, and mobile platformsIncrease testing processes, and methodologies to enhance functional, security, and performance testing capabilitiesDevelop structured testing plans that cover functionality, system performance, security validations, and edge cases while ensuring broad coverage and clear insightsCollaborate with developers, product managers, and quality assurance teams to embed automated testing strategies that improve deliverable quality and meet technical standardsProvide mentorship and training to engineering teams in adopting and scaling automation practices, ensuring adherence to best practices and industry standardsLead simulation and stress testing programs to measure system stability, response times, and behaviour under high traffic or variable load conditionsAnalyse test metrics, results, and coverage data to identify gaps, test scenarios, and improve testing methodologiesAdvocate for product quality by interpreting user needs and designing test cases that reflect real-world scenarios and customer expectationsIntegrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines and collaborate on improving deployment processes to ensure quality at every stage Required Experience:**4+ years of hands-on experience creating, scaling, and maintaining automation test suites for backend and frontend systemsProficiency in designing and writing test scripts using languages such as Python, Golang, or JavaExpertise with test automation frameworks including Selenium, Cucumber, Appium, Go Test, or comparable toolsDebug and troubleshoot automated testing systems and identify causes of failuresSolid knowledge of stress testing tools and simulation testing for evaluating system stability under varying traffic conditionsExperience with backend, mobile, and frontend testing paradigms that support multiple engineering scopesExperience with training engineers in automated testing frameworks and best practicesFamiliarity with CI/CD pipeline integration and test automation within deployment environmentsAnd problem-solving skills about testing strategiesWith the ability to collaborate across teamsExposure to AI-powered testing tools and latest technologies that enhance automation workflowsExperience with test reporting, and data analysis to drive quality improvementsKnowledge of performance testing and load testing methodologiesFamiliarity with agile development practices and test-driven development (TDD)ExperienceDemonstrated leadership capabilities and experience mentoring junior engineersDomain Expertise:**Test automation frameworks and best practicesSystem reliability, scalability, and performance testingQuality assurance methodologies and standardsSoftware development lifecycle (SDLC) and testing integration Life at Grab
