About this role
We are seeking an experienced Senior Electrical Design Engineer to play a key role in delivering advanced electrical systems within a complex engineering programme.
This is a technically challenging position offering the opportunity to take ownership of design activities, influence project direction, and work across a multidisciplinary environment on high-integrity systems.

Take ownership of the design and development of electrical systems and components for complex engineering projectsProduce and review electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and associated technical documentation using tools such as EPLAN and TeamcenterEnsure designs meet all applicable industry standards, safety regulations, and compliance requirementsOversee system integration, verification, and validation activities to ensure performance and reliability targets are metProvide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers, promoting best practices and engineering excellenceCollaborate with cross-functional teams across mechanical, systems, software, and manufacturing disciplinesSupport supplier engagement, including technical reviews, selection processes, and stakeholder collaborationInvestigate technical issues through root cause analysis, implementing effective corrective solutionsContribute to project planning, scheduling, cost estimation, and risk management Required Skills:
Proven experience in a senior electrical engineering or design role within complex or regulated industriesStrong knowledge of electrical design tools such as EPLAN, AutoCAD Electrical, or similar, and familiarity with PLM systems such as TeamcenterExperience designing power distribution systems, control systems, and embedded electrical systemsSolid understanding of relevant engineering standards (e.g. IEC, BS, IEEE)Ability to lead technical reviews and make critical engineering decisionsStrong analytical and problem-solving skills, with experience identifying and resolving design issuesExcellent communication and stakeholder engagement skillsRequired Qualifications:
A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, or equivalent military experience.Desirable Skills:
Experience within defence, maritime, aerospace, or other safety-critical environmentsBackground in system integration within multidisciplinary engineering teamsExposure to full product lifecycle development, from concept through to delivery Why join us?
