Leighfield Primary School Salary: Grade 5 Pay Point 7-8 (£25,191 - £25,590 per annum, approximate starting salary of £15,508 )

Hours: 32 hours per week, 52 week per year Contract Type: Permanent

Working Pattern: Monday to Friday 07:30am - 18:00pm

About the Role

Leighfield Primary School are seeking to recruit a highly organised, empathetic and enthusiastic Pre-School Assistant to work within our Little Roots Pre-School setting, supporting the Pre-School Team.

Key Responsibilities

Ensure the well-being, safety and security of the children including the locking of doors, windows and gates in accordance with safeguarding procedures.Maintain records as directed.Assist in the planning and implementing a multi-cultural play curriculum to stimulate children’s interest in learning.Liaise with parents/carers and other staff to ensure children are welcomed and supported.What We’re Looking For

Qualifications:

Good level of literacy and numeracy.NVQ 3 qualification or equivalent. Experience:

Experience of working with children under five in informal or formal settings

Skills & Knowledge:

Knowledge of good practice in under-fives care and education. Knowledge of requirements of the Children Act.Knowledge of Ofsted requirements An understanding of Health & Safety.
