St Mary’s CE Primary School is seeking a dynamic and professional Deputy Headteacher (non classed base) who is an outstanding practitioner, ready to influence whole‑school improvement and a proven ability to analyse data and use it to close learning gaps.
Key responsibilities:
Deputising for the Headteacher and driving whole-school improvementCoaching, mentoring, and developing teaching staff to ensure outstanding outcomesLeading on teaching and learning, curriculum design and assessment trackingExperience of:
achieving high standards and relentless in securing strong outcomes for all children;Church school educationEffectively leading/motivating children and staff and developing team approachesImproving outcomes for all childrenExperience of leading teaching and learning, curriculum and assessment across the schoolExperience of devising schemes of workKnowledge of:
Current national educational priorities, developments and strategies which meet the needs of all childrenRecent legislation, developments and initiatives in primary educationThe latest developments in safeguarding and child protectionUnderstanding schools’ statutory responsibilities regarding the needs and care of students with SENDUnderstanding of data analysisAbility to analyse and present data effectively including progress and behaviour informationAbility to lead, manage and prioritise effectivelyAbility to establish a positive ethos with an accent on high achievement for allAbility to communicate clearly and concisely both verbally and in writing at all levelsStrong interpersonal skillsAbility to set clear expectations and parameters and to hold others to account for their performanceAbility to lead, manage and prioritise effectivelyA current driving licence and your own transport is essential for travel across the Trust’s multiple sites and schools.
