St. Leonard’s Primary School is a popular, growing school that currently hasover240 children on roll and a Governor run Nursery. The post will provide the successful candidate an opportunity to be part of our growth story in the next chapter of St Leonard’s journey and development.

We are looking for a caretaker to join our team, to ensure the upkeep of our school environment.
The successful candidate will:
Have experience of school caretaking, or a similar and relevant role.Have excellent interpersonal and communication skills.Be able to understand and apply regulations around Health and Safety, including carrying out and recording compliance checks.Be friendly and approachable, flexible, resilient and hard-working.Be prepared to participate in all aspects of St. Leonard’s school life.
Typical responsibilities would include:
Unlocking the school site at approximately 7.00amLocking and securing the school site at approximately 6.00–6.30pmCarrying out statutory fire and water safety checksGeneral maintenance and repairs around the school siteMonitoring the condition, cleanliness and safety of the premisesLiaising with contractors where required
The working pattern would typically involve approximately 4 hours per day, split across morning and evening duties with 4-weeksof work carried out during school holidays.
