About this role
We are seeking an energetic, driven and passionate Director of PE & Sport , who will provide strategic leadership for all aspects of PE, sport and physical enrichment across Haberdashers’ Knights Academy.
You will establish a clear vision for sporting excellence and participation and will lead the development of a high-quality curriculum, enrichment programme and competitive sporting culture. This role extends far beyond curriculum leadership and requires a candidate with vision, innovation and the ability to inspire others.
The successful candidate will:
Lead the strategic development of PE & sport across the Academy;
Drive participation, engagement and sporting success;Develop enrichment and partnership opportunities;Raise the profile of sport internally and externally;Ensure high-quality teaching and learning within PE;
Develop pathways for students with sporting talent and aspiration;
Build a culture of pride, professionalism and ambition within the department;
Line manage the 2i/c PE who will oversee aspects of the operational day-to-day running of the department
