About this role
We are seeking an enthusiastic, creative and nurturing teacher with a strong understanding of both the Early Years Foundation Stage and Key Stage 1 curriculum. The successful candidate will support children through the important transition from Reception into Year 1, creating a stimulating and engaging learning environment where every child can thrive.
The successful candidate will:
Have high expectations for all pupils and a commitment to achieving the very best outcomes Deliver engaging, inclusive and high-quality teaching across Reception and Year 1 Understand how children learn and adapt teaching to meet the needs of all learners Foster early literacy, numeracy, communication and social development through both play-based and structured learning opportunities Use assessment effectively to inform teaching and accelerate progress Create a safe, stimulating and inclusive classroom environment Build positive relationships with children, families and colleagues Work collaboratively and contribute positively to school life Demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills Be enthusiastic, reflective and committed to continuous professional developmentBe excited to help shape and drive our continued school improvement journey
Qualifications and Experience
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) Experience teaching within EYFS and/or Key Stage 1 Strong understanding of child development and early learning pedagogy Excellent classroom management and organisational skills Commitment to inclusive practice and high expectations for all pupils Enhanced DBS Certificate registered with the Update Service Right to work in the UK
