About this role
The successful candidate will:
Be an excellent classroom practitioner with a strong track record of supporting pupils with SEND and raising achievementHold the National SEND qualification (or be willing to achieve it within the required timeframe)Demonstrate a secure understanding of the SEND Code of Practice and inclusive teaching approachesLead and develop effective SEND provision across the schoolWork collaboratively with teachers/support staff to improve outcomes for pupils with additional needsProvide guidance, support and training to colleagues to enhance inclusive practiceBuild strong relationships with pupils, parents, carers and external agenciesPlay a key role in safeguarding as a Deputy Designated Safeguarding LeadContribute positively to the wider life and ethos of the schoolDemonstrate excellent communication, organisation and interpersonal skills
