About this role

Childwall Sports & Science Academy is seeking an experienced and passionate Communication & Interaction Inclusion Lead to drive high-quality SEND provision across our school/Trust.

This is a pivotal role, leading support for pupils with Autism Spectrum Conditions (ASC) and Speech, Language and Communication Needs (SLCN). You will work directly with students, support staff development, and strengthen inclusive practice to ensure all learners can thrive.

Key ResponsibilitiesDeliver targeted, evidence-based interventions to support pupils with communication and interaction needsProvide expert advice, assessment, and person-centred planning across schoolsTrain, coach and develop staff to improve inclusive classroom practiceWork collaboratively with SENDCos, senior leaders and external professionalsBuild strong partnerships with families and multi-agency teamsMonitor impact, maintain high-quality records, and contribute to EHCP processesSupport Trust-wide SEND strategy and continuous improvement initiatives What We’re Looking ForExperience working with children or young people with ASC and SLCN in education settingsStrong ability to assess needs and deliver personalised interventionsProven experience of training or coaching staffExcellent communication, organisation, and relationship-building skillsKnowledge of SEND frameworks and inclusive practiceCommitment to improving outcomes for all learnersRelevant qualifications in SEND, autism, speech and language, or related fields are desirable.
