The role
The Finance Lead is a key role within the Cambridge University Libraries and Archives Finance Team. You will lead a team of four and work closely with the Head of Finance, the Management Accountant, and stakeholders at all levels across both Cambridge University Libraries and Archives and the Finance Division of the University.
As Finance Lead you will
Be a joint deputy to the Head of Finance, alongside the Management Accountant, in the areas of financial strategy, financial governance and management. Be responsible for managing the operational financial administration of Cambridge University Libraries and Archives. Ensure that financial data is accurate and reported on in a timely basis. In conjunction with Finance colleagues and our stakeholders, develop financial strategy in line with the Libraries and Archives' and University's strategic priorities.
What we are looking for
An accountant with expertise in financial and accounting practice, and considerable financial acumen. A manager with experience of leading, motivating and training teams. A highly organised individual, who has the ability to communicate effectively at all levels within a complex organisation.
