This role provides an opportunity for an experienced practitioner to lead the provision of Physical Education specialist input to the University’s highly regarded Initial Teacher Education programmes. The successful candidate will be able to shape the subject pedagogy of beginning teachers on our courses, both local and international.
The role will also provide opportunities to contribute to the wider course provision through teaching on the Professional Enquiry and Professional Practice modules, marking of academic work and selection of PGCE applicants.
All colleagues in the Centre for Teacher Education participate in a regular programme of professional development and peer learning. The post also provides wider development opportunities across the University.
