We are seeking a motivated and collaborative individual to join our team as a Lecturer in Social Work (Teaching & Scholarship). This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the delivery of teaching on our social work postgraduate programmes, with a key focus on the AMHP, MA Social Work and CPD programmes. You will join a dynamic and inclusive environment committed to student-centred learning, partnership working and high-quality social work education.

You will be responsible for:

Contributing to the design and delivery of social work education and related support in respect of teaching Contributing directly to teaching and assessment on the Approved Mental Health Professional (AMHP) programme, MA Social Work and other CPD provision Providing effective student support via academic advisement Contributing to links with external contacts such as other educational bodies, employers, and professional bodies to foster collaboration.

Essential Criteria:

An understanding of contemporary social work practice education for qualifying social work students and post-qualifying mental health AMHP students in England and Wales Relevant recent experience of understanding the statutory AMHP role and its implementation in current practice Demonstrable scholarship experience or potential to develop this Relevant first and higher degrees (educated to MA/MSc level) Current registration as a social worker with Social Work England

Desirable Criteria:

Experience of supporting students undertaking practice placements in practice agencies Experience of working collaboratively with People with Lived Experience of social work
