Flexible Working
We will consider applications for employment on a part-time or other flexible working basis (e.g. job share), despite the position being advertised as full-time. We value work-life balance, with flexible working available and current staff arrangements including 4-day working weeks and work patterns aligned with school hours. The team also operates a hybrid model of two in-office days per week (currently Tuesdays and Thursdays), with pro rata options for part-time roles. Due to ongoing works on campus, in-person attendance is currently limited to Tuesdays, on an interim basis until approximately January 2027, with hot desking available on campus on other days.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a lawyer to join the in-house Legal and Compliance team at the University of Warwick.
You will be a key part of our busy in-house team, managing a diverse portfolio including contract and data protection matters with a wide-ranging value and risk profile, while also supporting broader in-house activity and cross institutional projects.
You will develop a detailed understanding of the legal and regulatory framework governing the education sector.
By supporting a single client, the role allows you to build trusted relationships with Academic and Professional Services colleagues from across the institution and develop a thorough understanding of the institution’s culture, priorities and approach to risk.
This, in turn, allows you to deliver strategic legal advice and support effective decision‑making, free from the demands of time recording, billing targets, and traditional business development.
You will have the opportunity to work with a friendly, supportive and collaborative team that recognises and celebrates each other’s personal and professional achievements.
The University also provides a wide range of professional and personal development opportunities including training, workshops, initiatives and mentoring.
About You
