Job summary
Working to the Deputy Director of Operations Community, the post holder will be a motivated leader with a strong business acumen who will manage and deliver the strategic and operational responsibilities for Tieve Tara Medical Centre in Castleford. With a genu-ine passion for patient care to help shape the continued development of the practice. The role will be pivotal in ensuring the safe, efficient, and effective day-to-day running of the surgery while supporting strategic growth and maintaining high standards of govern-ance and service delivery.
The role will provide leadership and management to enable the practice to meet its agreed aims and objectives within a profitable, efficient, safe and effective environment whilst ensuring that services are delivered at a consistently high standard and in accordance with the PMS contract.
Main duties of the job
- Lead on the strategic and operational management of the practice and as a senior leader act as a role model and specialist in innovation and improvement initiatives in a general practice/primary care setting. At all times, the post holder must act in a manner consistent with the code of conduct of Spectrum working closely with the GPs and clinical team to ensure the smooth running of the practice and fulfil all management duties as agreed.
- Lead on contract and performance management and maximise efficiency and in-come whilst always prioritising Spectrum's core values.
- Reporting to the commissioners/ICS and PCN and working closely with partners across the Primary Care Networks in Wakefield, the wider Wakefield Integrated Care Partnership and GP Confederation.
- Drive continuous improvement and enable the development of new systems of working which will innovate and transform integrated care pathways and provide safe and clinically effective patient care by the right clinician in the right place at the right time.
- Be responsible for the day-to-day line management of appropriate staff e.g. Lead GP, Lead Practice Nurse, ANP at Tieve Tara and will deliver high quality leadership to design innovative, effective and lasting solutions to complex service problems. The postholder will ensure optimum liaison and working arrangements with spon-sors, stakeholders (which will include patient/client/carer representation) and ex-ternal agencies.

Qualifications Essential
Educated to master's degree level in relevant subject or equivalent level experience gained in a similar senior management role. Evidence of continued professional development

Knowledge Essential
Significant knowledge of senior operational leadership within a GP Practice Strong knowledge of QOF, GMS contracts and NHS structures Knowledge of integrated performance management and business planning techniques Knowledge of commercial contracting arrangements and development of mobilisation plans including relevant regulatory frameworks Knowledge of regulatory and compliance constraints relevant to our sector. Working knowledge of SystmOne.
Desirable
Understanding of the structure and framework of healthcare services and how a social enterprise operates within this framework Previous experience as a CQC registered manager.
