Job summary We are inviting applications to fill our Senior Clinical Fellow with a special interest in Maternal Medicine vacancy at The Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust in Department of Obstetrics & Gynaecology. This post will commence September 2026 and end in September 2027 and is a fixed term for 1 year.
Main duties of the job An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic doctor to join the current Obstetrics and Gynaecology team as a clinical fellow at Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust. The service is delivered through four sites: St James University Hospital (SJUH), Leeds General Infirmary (LGI), Wharfdale General Hospital and Seacroft Hospital. The above post is suitable for doctors wishing to gain clinical experience at a ST3+ level in Obstetrics and Gynaecology. The post offers the successful candidate a wide range of experience in all areas of the specialty. Whilst this post is not recognised for training, the appointee will be supported by a Clinical Supervisor to meet their career and educational goals.

Job description Job responsibilities
There will be opportunities to develop special interests in Maternal Medicine. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to get involved in the several specialised maternal medicine clinics which take place across both hospitals. These are run by specialists in the field and include diabetes, endocrinology, haematology, cardiology, gastro-intestinal and rheumatology. In addition they will be invited to participate in the regular MDT meetings as well getting involved and leading QI projects and teaching in the area.
