Job summary
An exciting oppitunity has presented itself in our dispenary. We are looking for a patient focused counter assistant to support our dispensary team in our busy practice dispensary.
We are looking to recruit 2x days of 9 hours (08.30 - 18.00) These days are flexible at the recrutiment stage and we are able to offer additional days should this be of interest.
Main duties of the job
You will need excellent IT skills and have a confidence in patient facing environment and be able to deliver a high quality customer service.
You will be required to hand out presribed and dispensed medication orders.
Support patients with queries and ordering of medication.
Support the dispensary team with deliveries.
Engage with other pharamacies to support non dispensing patients.
This position is a physical role, i.e. standing/bending/lifting
Full training will be provided to the successful candidate.

Ouse Valley Practice are looking to recruit a Reception Counter Assistant in our Dispensary Department. The post is part-time job share post with 1 other. Duties and responsibilities are per the job description.
We are a very busy dispensing GP Practice looking after 10,000 patients and we are looking for a dynamic person to join our practice team.
Job description Job responsibilities
Issuing stock items and prepared prescriptions
Collection of prescription charges/checking patient exemption statements
Processing and bundling prescriptions for the prescription pricing authority
Processing repeat prescriptions requests on SystmOne.
Dealing with patient queries regarding repeat issues.
Keeping the hatch area tidy.
Emptying collection boxes of uncollected items and re-issuing medication back to stock. Marking patients notes as uncollected.
Undertaking other reasonable duties within the framework of the post as directed by the Dispensary Lead.
Person Specification
Pharmacy Experience Desirable
Phamacy experience is desirable but not essential
