Job summary
Central Basildon PCN currently has an opportunity for an experienced advanced nurse practitioner (ANP) to join their team on a part-time basis. This role is a maternity cover for 6 months. Based in Basildon, the role will primarily be involved in clinical assessment and treatment of minor illnesses.
Main duties of the job
Delivering a high standard of patient care, using advanced, autonomous clinical skills and a broad, in-depth, theoretical knowledge-base; Assessing, diagnosing and treating patients conditions, initiating direct referrals, as appropriate; Providing expert advice to patients, carers and colleagues; Developing innovative concepts, models, methods and practices, to help deliver improved primary care to our practice population; Advancing patient health and well-being through the use of health promotion, health education, screening and therapeutic communication skills; As an independent prescriber: to prescribe safe, effective and appropriate medication, as defined by current legislative framework; Leading and undertaking research and audits; Providing leadership, education and training to different healthcare professionals, staff and students; As a vital part of our multidisciplinary team, you will have the opportunity to support and care for a diverse patient group.

Person Specification
Qualifications Essential
Registered general practice nurse, holding current registration with the NMC Hold a recognised ANP qualification at master's level Hold an independent prescriber qualification
Experience Essential
Work with a high degree of autonomy Confident in leading in a variety of settings Forward-thinking and will strive to develop innovative ideas and new ways of working, that address the health needs of the practice, whilst motivating and encouraging others to do the same Excellent communicator and collaborator.
