Job summary Were looking for a highly motivated and enthusiastic person with a passion for not only keeping our people safe, but also for ensuing that the public and our patients are receive a high quality of care. The correct person will directly influence frontline NHS staff in how they manage vulnerable persons, particularly when restrictive interventions are required, but more than that, they will support and educate our people to ensure they are able to recognise the signs that a person may present a risk to themselves or others. You will help our teams to take a holistic approach to reduce that risk, only utilising physical force when necessary and ensuring that it is the least restrictive intervention.
Main duties of the job We have an established and award winning prospectus of training for the whole Trust to not only keep them safe, but their most vulnerable patients and members of the public by ensuring that we deliver effective, high quality, evidence-based training.
This includes physical restraint, and also theoretical components linked to this such as de-escalation strategies, warning signs of aggression, physical health implications and other's.

We’re looking for an individual to join an established award winning and progressive violence reduction team at LTHT, to not only deliver high quality training in the Prevention and Management of Violence and Aggression but to help continue to improve the training which we offer to our people in the future.
In this role, you’ll be pivotal in supporting the aims of our Violence Reduction Strategy, inline with the requirements of the NHS England Violence Reduction Standard.
Within this strategy we identified clear key ambitions in line with the Leeds Way Methodology, of which one of these was to deliver high quality targeted and risk-based training to help our staff feel safer at work, and that's where you’ll come in.

General Services Association (GSA) tutors certificate at grade A
Teaching Qualification such as 998 PTLLS or Level 3 Award in Learning and Development or equivalent
Immediate Life Support (ILS) provider
NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care or equivalent/higher qualification
Current First Aid at Work Certificate
