An opportunity has arisen to recruit a Therapy Technician full time within the well-established Allied Health Professions team across the Forensic Low Secure Services in Dartford (covering the Allington Centre, Tarenfort Centre and Brookfields Centre).
We are keen to recruit an enthusiastic and innovative Therapy Technician to work within the service.
Main duties of the job
Therapy Technicians are recognised as essential, and valued members of the multi-disciplinary team. As a Therapy Technician you will work alongside the Allied Health Professionals (Occupational Therapists, Speech & Language Therapists, Physiotherapists, Dieticians etc.) supporting them in the implementation of assessments, as well as group and individual interventions.
Under the supervision of a registered Allied Health Professional and in consultation with professionally registered members of the Multidisciplinary Team the post holder will be expected to assist in the delivery of therapeutic interventions within the service by
Using skills and experience to plan and provide flexible, service user centred, 1:1 or group activity based interventions that contribute to meeting the assessed needs of service users and treatment service as outlined within their care plan. In addition to personal and clinical development opportunities, we offer a number of additional opportunities including regular supervision, Personal Development Plans, and support for Continual Professional Development activities

Job description Job responsibilities
Working alongside the multidisciplinary team to facilitate therapeutic interventions for service users and carers Undertaking clinically related administration, and to assist with non-clinical tasks to ensure the smooth running of a service, to service users and their carers, guided by an appropriate senior colleague. The post holder must hold a full, valid, UK driving licence and have access to a car/vehicle to use for business purposes (unless you have a disability as defined by the Equality Act 2010). The High-Cost Area (HCA) allowance, also referred to as London Weighting is a payment made to employees who work in London and the surrounding areas.
As this post is based in Dartford, Gravesham or Swanley, the successful applicant will receive an additional payment each month.
5% of basic salary, subject to a minimum payment of £1,346 per year and a maximum payment of £2,270 per year (the agreed annual amount will be divided into 12 equal amounts and paid monthly) (2026/27 figures)
