There is an exciting opportunity to join our dynamic team working within the acute gastroenterology ward as a Senior Clinical Support Worker.
We are looking for Clinical Support Workers who are capable of working in a busy, challenging and rewarding environment who possess excellent communication skills, can maintain a high degree of confidentiality and are able to work to deadlines, provide excellent personal care to our patients and work as part of team.
Duties will include providing a high standard of care by attending to aspects of patient personal hygiene, maintaining patient tissue integrity and providing pressure area care, recording of observations, liaising with the patient's families and supporting your colleagues in providing a positive experience for the patient.
We can offer a range of working opportunities including full and part time hours covering a variety of shift patterns over a 7 day rota including early, lates and night duty.
Hours per week: 37.5

Main duties of the job
Under the supervision of a Registered Nurse or healthcare professional:
Provide high-quality, patient-centered care to a defined group of patients Deliver personal care, including hygiene, grooming, and toileting, maintaining dignity and privacy Support with oral care, nutrition, hydration, feeding, and fluid balance monitoring Promote comfort and safety through repositioning, mobility support, and safe moving and handling Undertake and record clinical observations, escalating concerns promptly Carry out skin inspections and support pressure ulcer prevention Assist with continence care, specimen collection, and patient escorts Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation and contribute to care evaluation Provide emotional support to patients and relatives, respecting individual needs and beliefs Support end-of-life care, including last offices, and assist in emergency situations (e.g., basic life support) Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team We welcome applications from Graduate visa holders; it is important to note that you must have a minimum of 6 months before this expires at the start of your employment for training and operational reasons.
