Main duties of the job As a Senior Care Assistant at Avery Healthcare, you'll be responsible for delivering high standards of personal care and monitoring the wellbeing of each resident. You will also be involved in care planning and supporting residents with their medication needs. Additionally, you'll undertake staff supervision, acting as a key point of contact for residents, relatives, and health professionals. You'll work a shift from 7am to 7pm, providing a supportive and inclusive environment. The role requires living the values of caring, supportive, honest, respectful, and accountable in all actions.

Your focus as a Senior Care Assistant will be tosupportand work alongside the Care team to deliver high standards of personal care, providing a safe, caring, innovative, open,supportive, andinclusiveenvironment for residents, visitors and staff.
Other responsibilitieswillinclude:
Monitoringthe wellbeing of each resident, being aware of any changeimpactingon care and care plans, ensuring that new needs aremet,and written records are amended to reflect any variation. Beinginvolved in the person-centred care planning process, by implementing,monitoring,and undertaking monthly evaluations. Supporting residents with their medication requirements. Undertaking staff supervisions and supporting staff with their development where required. Actingas a key point for contact with residents, theirrelativesand visitors, as well as health and social care professionals involved in their wellbeing, ensuring that any reasonable requests are actedupon,and concerns or complaints are escalated.

Our ideal candidatemust:
Have an NVQ 3 or equivalent in care for care homes. Have 2 years experience working in similar care environment. Have the ability tocommunicate effectively both verbally and in writing. Have a positive attitude to bothsupporting and nurturing residents and staff. Beresponsive and flexible to cover a range of responsibilities.

Qualifications Essential
Have an NVQ 3 or equivalent in care for care homes. Have 2 years experience working in a similar care environment. Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
