Job summary
There is an exciting opportunity for a full time Consultant in Acute Medicine to join the existing team working across WTWA Hospitals.

We are committed to contributing not just to the Acute Medical Department but MFT with a focus on ambulatory care, digital healthcare, education ( including simulation) and workforce wellbeing. Many of our consultant colleagues undertake regional and national educational, governance and leadership roles alongside delivering acute care.
The Acute Medical and Same Day Emergency Care (SDEC) team includes 15 consultants with a breadth of specialty knowledge. We are supported by an excellent multidisciplinary team. This includes 3 Advanced care practitioners, one consultant nurse, 2 pharmacists, 3 physician associates, occupational and physiotherapists, discharge facilitators, locally employed senior and junior clinical fellows and rotating doctors in training.
We are keen to attract candidates interested in service development will support this in post.

This appointment will be made in accordance with the 2003 Consultant Contract Terms and Conditions. The Job Description indicates the main duties of the post, which may be reviewed in the light of experience and developments within service. Any review will be undertaken in conjunction with the post holder.
This is a full time 10PA post. However, applications for less than full time work or job shares would also be welcomed. The successful applicants would join the medical on call rota. This currently includes 1 in 8 weekends and 1 in 24 weekdays and overnight
