We are seeking adynamicsenior occupational therapistfor a12 monthsecondment. The occupational therapist must share our values,demonstratescuriosity, and welcomes challengesat St Mark's Hospital.You'llmanage a complex caseload, delivering tailored rehabilitation to adults and older adults with multi-pathologiesand frailty. Using advanced clinical reasoning, specialist manual skills, and collaborativegoal-setting,you'llhelpmaximise potential,regain independence and transition successfullyto the community.

Main duties of the job
Tobe responsible fora highly complexcaseload using an interdisciplinary, patient focused rehabilitative approach.
To provide clinical leadership and specialist advice, through supervision, education of students,Band 5,MultiTherapyAssistants,andother members of the interdisciplinary team.
Toidentifyservice developments, needs, contribute to the planning, development and evaluation of the service and have responsibility for defined projects.
To provide highly skilled and specialist assessments of occupational performance, plan, implement and evaluate evidence-based client centred interventionmaintainingthe associated records in compliance with the standards from the College of Occupational Therapyand the Trust.
This post will be based at St Mark's Hospital Maidenhead.Current working pattern is Monday - Friday. Working patterns are subject to clinical and service demands and are reviewed regularly to ensure these are met.
The post holder may have to provide cross-service clinical and/or workforce support to other Berkshire Healthcare services, asrequired, in response to service demand or operational pressures. This may include supporting patient care delivery, prioritisation of caseloads, and contributing to workforce coordination to ensure safe and effective service provision.

Education/Qualifications/Training Essential
Diploma/Degree in Occupational Therapy
Continuous Professional Development Essential
Evidence of training in rehabilitation of older people Training in the equipment needs of older people Understanding of the models used in Occupational Therapy.
Previous Experience Essential
Experience of working in a rehabilitation or intermediate care NHS or Social Services setting. Experience of working in a multi disciplinary team setting. Experience of liaising with Social Care. Experience supervising junior staff and students Experience of using a variety of teaching methods
