Main duties of the job

The post holder will:

Be responsible for maintaining the highest standards of care for our patients in the ward. Provide professional, clinical and managerial leadership to nursing staff within the ward. Contribute to managing the nursing and material resources of the ward in a flexible and cost-effective way. Support the Ward Manager. Act as a role model and lead with honesty and integrity Support student nurses and junior staff

Person Specification

Qualifications Essential

NMC registered.

Desirable

A Degree in related field. Foundation Management / Leadership training.

Experience Essential

Experience in acute surgical/orthopaedic nursing Supervisory experience. 2 years working as Senior Staff Nurse

Desirable

Demonstrable level of competence Experience in Change management
