About this role

Job summary

We are looking for an organised and motivated Business Support Team Lead to lead the business support team for our community mental health services within Fareham. The post holder will have experience of providing a high-quality administrative and secretarial service to support our team.

As a key member of the service, you will support the Team Manager with the day-to-day operational running of the service, ensuring patient care remains the central focus.

You will lead a team of business support staff, ensuring workloads are effectively managed and key performance targets and deadlines are consistently met.

You will promote a culture of excellent patient care, ensuring a professional, responsive, and efficient service is delivered at all times.

You will work collaboratively with the clinical team and other business support teams across Portsmouth and Southeast Hampshire.

Main duties of the job

provide comprehensive administration service to the staff and management of the CMHT inclusive of diary management, correspondence, development and maintenance of document management systemsensure high standard of service, make recommendations and implement new developmentsendure all typing and admin duties are promptly and efficiently completedknowledge and use of relevant computer systems, prompt response to emails bringing matters to the attention of managementensure efficient telephone service and message taking systemrun, analyse and validate reports relevant to your roleinstigate relevant policies and proceduresSupervision of staff and annual appraisals. Conduct sickness monitoring, capability and conduct proceedings as requiredkeep up to date with training, ensure your staff dopreparation and management of key meetings, including collation of information and disseminating invites and minutesmanage the rostermanage complaints that are relevant to your teamrecruitment and retention of admin staff. Induct new starters, regular admin team meetingsattendance at meetings as requiredordering of equipment and suppliesliaise with building manager and estatesRA agent for Riouse of initiative, decision making, problem solving

Qualifications Essential

GCSE A-C in English and Maths NVQ level 3 in business administration or equivalent Competent in the use of software packages.
