ABOUT THE ROLE

Your focus as a Maintenance Operativewillbetoensurethe building and grounds are wellmaintained, undertaking a variety of routine maintenance tasks, checks to services applying basic fixes to equipment and systemswhilstensuringfacilities are fully functional.

Other responsibilitieswillinclude:

Carryingout all general maintenance tasks and basic repairs includingall electrical, plumbing joinery and building tasks both inside and outside the Home. Supporting new residents to arrange their room as they wish. Ensuringroutine re-decoration is undertaken asrequiredtomaintainthe standards in thehome. Advisingon the supply and quality of items used to carry out tasks, ensuring thetimelyandappropriate orderingof replacement goods. Providingout of hours emergency service,participatingin the on-call rota.

Our ideal candidatemust:

Have a minimum of one years experience in a general maintenance or handy person role and/or hold a professional qualification in a trade. Hold a full driving licence. Have knowledge of Health and Safety, particularly Moving and Handling techniques, Fire Safety and COSHH assessments. Be able to be adaptive and flexible to cover a range of responsibilities at short notice.

Person Specification

Qualifications Essential

The ideal candidate should have at least one year of experience in general maintenance or a similar role, and/or a professional qualification in a trade. A full driving license is necessary. Additionally, the candidate must have knowledge of Health and Safety, with particular emphasis on Moving and Handling techniques, Fire Safety, and COSHH assessments. The ability to be adaptive and flexible to cover various responsibilities at short notice is also essential.
